• Under the directive of Biblical Church Model, Christian Education Department was named as Christian Education Ministry. The Ministry takes charge of Sunday School, Children Evangelism and Children’s Ministry under the supervision of an Associate Pastor and Christian Education Board consisting of 8 members and the Pastor as the ex-officio. The ministry has 26 Sunday school teachers and 7 Children Evangelism teachers.
• Our Vision :
  Our ministry vision is to reach out every child and to lead the children to be in God’s word, having good relationship with God and humanity and introduce to Jesus Christ and help them to accept Christ. It also aims to show practical ways of involment in congregational worship, recreation, encouraging growth of leadership and a prayerful life in children, i.e. focussing in an all-round development (Mentally, socially, physically and spirituality).
• Our History
• Sunday School : Mr. Imsangbangba, hailing from Longjang village speaks about his conviction in evangelising the children. He narrated the story about how he had been residing at Kumlong since 1960. Recalling the happenings how he had visited houses to met children, teaching them God’s word and conducting prayer fellowship as there was no separate building to conduct Sunday School during those days. However, only in the month of February, 1969, taking the advice and permissions of parents Sunday School was conducted at Kumlong Primary School for a considerable period of time.
• Children Evangelism : Ms. T. Amongla from Chungliyimsen village and Ms. Alemla Yaden hailing from Anaki village, were sent by Church workers to attend a child teachers’ training at Mokokchung Town Baptist Church . With zeal and enthusiasm, and the knowledge gained from the training, with faith they started the children Evangelism. The first batch had an enrollment of 76 children. Later in the year 1994, after the Kumlong Baptist Fellowship was officially announced as Kumlong Baptist Church, the Deacon Board forwarded the believers in a general public meeting to decide about continuing Children Evangeslim. The response was postive and since then, the service is held for children till date.
• Children Ministry :
  It is a whole year weekend ministry for children. Children from four to fourteen years attend this ministry. The Associate Pastor along with the children evangelism teachers looks after this ministry. Teaching Life skills, gospel songs, recreation, gospel movie hour, competitions (painting, singing, sketching etc) are a part of this ministry. Free tuitions are given to 25 children whose parents are unable to provide the needs of the children. The ministry also looks after the Kumlong Baptist Church children choir of 60 members.
• To make CEM more effective:
  1. Teachers training and various courses related to children ministry are provided.
  2. Three days Summer Retreat for the children are organized.
  3. Save Mother-Earth Mission related to environmental concerns are held every year by organizing seminars and activities.
  4. Health Awareness programs are being held .
  5. Organise sports day for children and teachers.
  6. Free Piano training are given to 25 children, Staff-notations as well as music workshops and song practices are in process for the children choir.
  7. Organizes Peace Concerts where the children from different age groups as well as neighbouring sisters churches are invited to participate in presenting God’s given talents.
  8. Reading workshops are held for children and teachers.
  9. Visitations of children and prayer fellowships are practiced and maintained sincerely so as to get connected with the children more and to nourish one’s spiritual needs.
  10. To reach out to a larger audiences Radio Ministry and video ministry are been organized.
  11. Spell-Bee in Ao language are been held to make the children get acquainted and understand the importance of mother-tongue.
  12. Counselling are provided to the children in need.
